Specific details about Yehiel Harakh, the father of Sarah Leshansky
are few.
Yehiel
Harakh lived in Roezeva (Grozev in Russian).
Yeheil
Harakh appears to have had with his wife Lifsa (or Lissa) five
children, two boys, and three girls. One of those girls was
my great grandmother, Sarah (Harakh) Leshansky.
The
boys appear to have been named Yosef and Chaim, and to have
each come to America, where they changed their names to Cohen.
Presumably their was a family tradition to the effect that Yeheil
Harakh was a Cohen.
The
girls appear to have been Roda and Channa, each of whom also
came to America.
Researcher DG of Santa Barbara confirms
the son's above and adds three more sons Mendel, Hyman and Sidney.
