Most of my pictures that are incontrovertably from 1992 are very grainy. I was being photographed in groups of relative strangers in 1992, and seldom if ever by anyone who knew me well.

I spent a few weeks in the summer of 1992 at the OSU Institute for Political Psychology, in Columbus Ohio. In the summer of 1992 I also attended my 10 year college reunion at Reed College (below).

Above and below: At the OSU Institute for Political Psychology. This is probably the most embarassing picture on this entire web site. What was I doing sitting cross legged in front of that group of colleagues and acquaintances? I'm not sure. Maybe I thought EVERYONE was sitting cross legged? No matter how you look at it, I think this picture is very revealing, and possible much too revealing. Surely it is the same impulse that led me to distinguish myself visually in this picture and that results in this autodocumentary "documentedlife"? Perhaps throughout my whole life I have been busy creating pictures that I would one day use on this web site? This picture raises many such questions.
